Step 1: Remove the plastic strip

Before you begin, do not forget to put on your gloves.

You can put a couple more teaspoons of baking soda, lemon juice, and a cap-full of vinegar. Then gently fill the mixture into the now sealed strip. After that, you have to let it rest in the bath. You will have to wait for about 4 to 5 hours.

After a few hours, you will notice that the mixture has been working. You will see how it has been eating away at the mold. Now you can grab a fork and chip away at the mold. You can use a butter knife here. That is because the smooth flat shape can help scrape the sides of the strip from left to right. After that, you can use an old toothbrush as well. The bristles on the brush can reach all over and loosen any stubborn spots.

Step 7: Wash off, dry and place strip to shower door

Before putting the strip back on the door, you have one more step. So grab the sponge and comb over the strip. Proceed to do so until any stubborn mold is gone. Using the hot tap in the bath, go ahead and apply hot water to the sponge. Then comb again until all the mildew is gone completely.
